The Rota Vicentina is a long distance path in the SW coast Portugal, between the city of Santiago do Cacém and the Cape of St. Vincent. Totalling more than 340 km route to walk mixes inland and coastal walking along one of the most beautiful and best preserved coast lines of southern Europe. It is a rewarding way of seeing the real Alentejo and Algarve regions of Portugal and walk on unforgettable routes full of tradition.

The walks form part of the European footpath network. The entire route is 340 kilometres and we have cherry picked the best sections for us to enjoy.
We use 2 centres. This minimizes the upheaval of continually packing and unpacking allowing more time to enjoy the tour. The centres give good and easy access to the relevant sections of the tour and by using varied routes and allowing time, the travel becomes part of the tour.
During the week we will discover a coastline of impressive cliffs topped with sandy dunes covered with aromatic Mediterranean flora; rocky islets dotted with white stork nests, the only marine colony in Europe and small fishing harbours from where fishermen daily face the Atlantic waves.

The walking and sightseeing programs are integral with each other. However because we have dedicated transport with the group there will be considerable flexibility within the program for individual clients.
A wait at the airport may be necessary to enable all passengers to travel together to and from the hotel.
